It would be 3 years before Donna would release another album. Her 1984 album Cats Without Claws was not a success, selling 300,00; her 1987 album, All Systems Go would sell even less — around 100,000 copies.
I happen to be one of the 100,000 people who bought this album, and, it’s one of my favorites. This album reminds me more of her 1980 album, The Wander, because of its diverse sounds, and Donna’s vocals are exceptionally strong on this album. Though, if I am honest with myself, it’s more of an album with one really good side, and one side of ok pop songs… though, it always pains me to be critical. Perhaps it’s just that I think that in many cases her voice was better than the song.
